IDS was founded by John Gomolisky over 40 years ago in Silver Spring, Maryland. The year was 1964 when a young entrepreneur from Indiana sought out to build a successful business in the office equipment industry. Then named National Calculators, Inc., the Company began selling and servicing calculators to commercial and government
clients in the Washington DC area.

As the Company grew its reputation for providing a quality workplace, great people, superior products and exemplary customer service also grew. In the course of its history, IDS has adapted with new technology
always offering the latest in products and services and advancements in customer care. All the while focusing on excellent service to the customer.

Now IDS has evolved to a modern day document solutions provider and a leader in advanced imaging and networking technologies for the desktop to the print shop. Unparalleled advances in security, print quality and network integration are brought together via our award winning line of multifunction products (MFPs);production printing systems; desktop color laser printers and all-in-ones; and monochrome desktop laser printers and all-in-ones.
